Pumps
To provide the optimum scrubbing environment for contaminant removal Sodium Hydroxide and Sodium Hypochlorite are typically added to the scrubbing liquid. The chemicals are metered into the scrubbers by means of highly accurate metering pumps. Indusco Environmental Services, Inc. supplies the highest quality of metering pumps with our air pollution control scrubber systems. There are three types of metering pumps that we typically supply; hydraulically actuated diaphragm type, solenoid driven and peristaltic hose type. For low flows we typically use the solenoid type pumps due to the low cost and reliability. With higher flow requirements the hose or hydraulically actuated pumps are the best choice.
The chemical metering pumps are sized to provide the proper amount of chemicals, to the scrubber system, in order to maintain the optimal chemical solution for contaminant removal. The pumps are constructed of corrosion resistant materials to insure long life. Pumps can also be provided with variable frequency drives (VFD’S) for even greater pumping accuracy and chemical usage efficiency. The pumps can also be shipped to the jobsite pre-assembled with accessories, such as pressure gauges, valves and VFD’s, and mounted on a skid system. Skid mounted systems offer the greatest value because there is no on-site assembly required. The skid assembly comes ready to install. The only field connections required are the electrical connections to the pumps and piping to the process.
The size, performance goals and budget dictate the proper pump for your application.
